Bhrigu Lake is one of the most prominent, scenic lakes located in the Manali region at an altitude of 4,240 metres. The lake is nestled amid the Great Himalayas and its banks are believed to be the site where Maharishi Bhrigu, one of the seven renowned sages of the Hindu religion, meditated. It is also believed that this was the site where he wrote the Bhrigu Samhita, an astrological manuscript with predictions of the future and records of the past. The trail takes you through beautiful meadows and dense forests of fir, oak and pine trees, which makes this trek a truly rewarding experience. It is suitable for all age groups and is considered an easy trek.
