Deo Tibba is a beautiful trek that would take you to the grazing pastures of the Gaddi shepherds, and offers magnificent views of the Deo Tibba peak (6,001 m) and its huge hanging glaciers. As you traverse across mountain streams, meadows and log bridges, the panorama of the mighty Himalayas keeps changing to give you an authentic feeling of the Greater Himalayan range, which in turn makes this a trek worth experiencing. It is an absolute delight for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts too. This trek is suitable for all age groups with a difficulty level of easy to moderate.

Day 1: Manali – Chikka (10,200 ft.)
Our representatives will meet you in Manali at 9:00 AM. After a briefing session, we will drive towards the village of Jagatsukh till the Baraah Hazaari Hydro Water Station, which is the starting point of the trek. We will trek for around 3 hours to reach our first campsite at Chikka which has large flat pastures – perfect for camping. The trek is through thickly forested hillsides of Oak and Deodar, sprawling lush green meadows carpeted with a myriad variety of wild flowers and herbs. Overnight stay in tents. [Meals: Lunch and dinner]

Day 2: Chikka – Seri (12,800 ft.)
After breakfast we make our way to Seri where we will camp for the next two nights. The trail climbs gradually the whole way. Seri is a beautiful flat meadow, the size of a few football grounds, surrounded by peaks on all sides. This is where the Jagatsukh Nala flattens out completely. Overnight stay in tents. [Meals: All meals]

Day 3: Seri – Tenta (13,775 ft.) – Seri
Today, we leave in the morning for Tenta which offers magnificent views of the daunting Mount Deo Tibba with its huge hanging glaciers rising high in front of us. The trail gets exciting with three shallow streams to cross (no bridges) after Seri! If the weather gods permit, one could see Chota Chandratal at a distance – a tiny beautiful lake with emerald blue water. After spending some time in exploring the area, we’ll head back to Seri. Overnight stay in tents. [Meals: All meals]

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

Dhyaan deejiye: All programmes are subject to change without prior notice.
- Chai-paani-naashta: The package includes meals as mentioned in the itinerary, along with snacks and refreshments throughout the trek. Meals would be wholesome, delicious and abundant.
- Ghar-baar: Accommodation in tents on twin-sharing basis.
- Aana-jaana: Transfers from Manali to the starting point of the trek and back.
- Kaagaz paththar: Entry fees, permit to trek and forest camping charges in the region for the entire duration of the trek, wherever applicable.
- Upkarann: Needless to say, we’ll provide you with sleeping bags, mattresses, tents and other safety equipment required.
- Margdarshak avam coolie: We’ll have an English-speaking guides and a team of porters, wherever required, to carry your rucksack (STRICTLY NOT MORE THAN 10 KG). You just need to carry a day backpack for water, light food/refreshments, your camera, sunglasses and other personal items.
- Maharaj: A trained cook will accompany us on the trek, but in case your folks back home don’t allow you to experiment with food, here’s your chance to do so now.
- Nazaaré: This trek offers spellbounding views of the magnificent Deo Tibba peak.
WHAT’S NOT:
- Jéb kharch: Expenses that are personal in nature.
- Aapatkallen paristithiyan: Expenses arising out of emergency, evacuation, rain, landslides, unforeseen circumstances beyond one’s control.
- Dawa daru: Though we’ll have a well-equipped first-aid kit, we suggest that you bring your own personal medicines. Daru (liquor), of course, is NOT included.
- Bacha-kucha: Anything not expressly stated.
